Tom's Hankering for Idris

Tom Hanks has revealed his pick for the next James Bond: Idris Elba.

"Understand this", the 66-year-old said firmly.

"James Bond has a licence to kill. I would issue that licence to Idris Elba just based on the work I've seen him do".

Now 50, it would appear that Idris has missed the Bond boat — especially since Bond mogul Michael G. Wilson declared the next actor to play 007 will be "thirty-something".

The man himself has even pulled out of the running.
