Now 53, it would appear that Eric Bana has missed the boat to become the second Aussie to play 007. Turns out he didn't fancy it anyway.

"I wouldn't have wanted to be James Bond", he declared. 

"It would have been too much fame for my head. I'm largely able to do whatever the hell I want, whenever I want. It would have been a great loss".
